MOCKED BY MEN; CROWNED BY GOD

The world is harsh, its
laughter scoffed,
It mocks the meek, it
crowns the strong.
Yet love is patient, love
is soft,
Sometimes it suffers
quietly for wrong.
To walk in truth is seen as
loss,
To give, a fool’s
unyielding art.
Yet Christ first bore the
heavy cross,
Despised, yet perfect in His heart.

O soul, be kind, though none may see,
And gentle, though the
heart may break.
For heaven’s gaze is fixed
on thee,
Not fleeting praise, nor
men’s ambitions fake.
The road is narrow, steep
the climb,
The way of „fools“ is the
divine.
And through the scorn of
passing time,
The crown of light shall
one day shine.
Amen.
